PORS--1st Stay..Room Requests??

Any suggestions?

We have stayed at POFQ..but this will be our first time to RS...the resort is SO MUCH bigger...I want to figure out a room request..We like to be near all the good stuff (LOL..who doesn't right!)...

I requested a standard view Mansion room

I tried twice to request anything in Alligator Bayou, and both times my requests were not looked at. Instead I got a room in the farthest back corner of one of the mansions, in a location near no pool, food court, or bus. Oh well. Requests are never guaranteed. And Disney has to place someone in the boonies!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this resort... We stayed on the mansion style side and the building that we loved the most was Parterre Place (room 9555). It was quiet it was close to a quiet swimming pool and it was about a 7-8 min walk to the main building- there is also the Magnolia Terrace building which is also a nice building and thats just a walk over a bridge to get to the main building...

We stayed at Riverside in October, and I thought about making a room request, but I decided to just go with whatever they gave us. We ended up loving our room location. It was a corner room in building 36 - AB section very close to a pool and our bus stop. Not sure how far of a walk it would have been from the main building, as we never walked it. Looking at the map, though, it looks like it might be a 7-10 minute walk, depending on how fast you walk. If I stay there again, I will most likely request that building, if not my same room.
