POR,WL or AKL - Best pool???

In your opinion, which of these resort pools would my children (12, 9 & 6) enjoy more? We have never stayed on-site, and we plan a lot of "down time" to just swim and enjoy the resort.

Of your choices, we have only stayed at WL.

We really LOVED our stay. The pool area is so beautiful & relaxing. It has a slide that is much faster than it looks! There is the main pool, a smaller kiddie pool, and a quiet pool next to the villas. There are 3 hot tubs, 2 in the main pool area & 1 near the quiet pool.

The quiet pool was never busy while we were there (our room overlooked it). All the pools are nicely shaded by many trees.
Though there is no swimming, there is a nice beach at WL. It has a nice playground. You can rent bikes (regular, double or surry) to bike over to FW (about a mile).

I have been to all 3. They have slides that are similar in length. At AKL the slide is not really themes. The pool is large with the zero depth entry area and the color of the pool is a bit different. You can sometimes see the girrafe while in the pool.
At POR the slide is sort od a Tom Sawyer Islan theme which means there isn't alot to it. It goes down trhough some nice greenery. The pool is sort of and ambling affair with a water tower that has a flume that pours water into the pool in two different sections. There is an island in the pool with some rocks and a dirty sink that is squirtung out water.
At the WL the pool is part of the "water flow". A bubbling spring pops up in the lobby, flows under the window and out into the courtyard where it goes over a large water fall and then "flows" into the pool. The pool has rocks in one spot and the water slide comes down through the rocks.
You kids will probably love all three pools so any of the above would be good. If you want to save some money try POR. It is a beautiful place and has the main pool and 5 other quiet pools.

We have stayed at both WL and POR, and POR, IMHO had the best pool for kids. We have 3 and ALL 3 said POR was the best for the simple reason that when they were in the pool at POR, there wasn't 40,000 other people in there with them. POR has quiet pools around the resort, so the swimmers were spread out alot better than WL. Hope this helps.
