I know alot of people suggested building 14, but I called to today and they don't list any of the buildings that high, I think it only went up to 7 or 8, we wanted to stay on the french quarter side, but would like some suggestions on which building would be best for scenery, and possibly buses...Thanks

I think you might need some clarification. Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter are two seperate resorts, but under one common name, Port Orleans. The Riverside is the one that has bldg. 14 in it. So that is where the confusion lies. I'm sure the French Quarter Dis fans will come along shortly and help out with bldg. requests for you....hang on!

We stayed at the French Quarter in building 7. It was not far from the pool, the bus stop or the food court. I think building 4 is supposed to be the best for location. I think that is what we requested, but we checked in around 10:00 am and told if we wanted a room right then we could take the one in building 7. I am glad we did. This is a small resort so everything is close. We did have a view of the parking lot. This did not bother us. We were only in the room to sleep or rest in the afternoon. Good luck!

FQ is very small compared to the other moderates. There really isn't a building that is far from anything. The closest building to the food court and the bus stop is bldg. 4. We prefer bldg. 5. One side of the building sits facing the pool, the end faces the river, and the other side faces a courtyard. It is close to everything as it is right in the middle of things. Bldg. 6 is our 3rd favorite building --- there aren't any parking lot views for this building and it is about 3 minutes from the bus, 4 minutes from the food court and maybe 5 minutes from the pool.

If you take a look at the map on this site it will give you a good idea of all the buildings. But, honestly, all the buildings are close so you can't really go wrong.

You might get a few more responses if you repost this question and title it POFQ...or just edit this post. That will let you get more responses.
