POR where are the 5 people rooms?

I just spoke with a CM and got a quote for garden view, trundle or daybed. i asked which category is near the main pool and she said just to request it. I thought only preferred view rates had the murphy bed- not a trundle. I would stay there if I knew we were not too far from main pool area. So did the rooms change at POR- when I tried to book online the descriptions dor standard and water view did not mention the extra bed for the 5 th child- all are over the age of 6. Help!

All preferred rooms are part of Alligator Bayou which now have murphy beds and not trundle beds. AB has buildings that are regular and preferred. The map at the beginning of the POR thread will show you the Preferred Buildings in AB, they are closest to the main buildings. CM's are notorious for not having correct, up to date knowledge of the resorts. Come join the POR thread for more info.

The entire Alligator Bayou side of Port Orleans Riverside accommodates five guests (except the rooms with king beds, of course). Preferred rooms are the bookable category closest to the main pool. If that's not coming up as an option for you, they must all be booked during your stay.

If you have a family of 5, you will be put in the AB section. We stayed there last year and it was fantastic! My only suggestion is to book Preferred Room catagory and request Building 14. We were close to the lobby, food court, pool and bus stops. Enjoy your trip!!

I agree on Building 14 -- we stayed there in January and it was wonderful. No more than 1 minute walk to QS and TS and backway to bus was maybe 2 minutes at most. Note, the murphy bed is not a fullsize murphy - it is about 2/3 the size of a twin bed. My 12 year old niece fit comfortably in it but she is very petite. An adult would not be comfortable, nor would a tall child.
