POR - what is the best building and location

I know there have been a lot of posts recently on POR, I am staying there for the 1st time in Sept and I was wanting everyone's opinion on where the best building and location is at.

We love POR and have stayed there 4x in 4 years....We have, however only stayed in the Bayou section....Building 14 is great, because its right next the main building and its got its own quiet pool. But we really liked building #15, right next door, it was a little quieter and only a short walk to the main house.

I'm sure that anywhere at POR, I'd be happy with, so I guess I'm biased. Have a wonderful trip!!!!

This is probably my 86th post about how much I loved bldg. 27, but there you have it. 27 rocks! It's inside the 'loop' so there are no parking lot views, it's right next to the 'good' buildings so the walks are short and nobody seems to request it so it's always available. Have fun!

We like building 38 (I think? Might have been 39) in Alligator Bayou. At first, we thought it was going to be awful, but it was very near the bridge to the pool Loved that.

Are there certain buildings in AB that are non-smoking??

I like the Arcadian House Mansion.. We had a court yard view and it was right across from Ole Man Island and then the main building was right behind Ole Man Island. We also had a bus stop right there too and it was the first stop for all the buses so we always had a seat...

We found bldg 16 to be quiet convenient and very clean. Definitely a non smoking bldg. There was a quiet pool just on the other side of the bldg from us and we were a short walk across the parking lot to the South Depot or just as close on the walking trail to the food court/main bldg.

And we liked our stay in Building AB 39 and the Magnolia Mansion.

Sooooo, for us all locations are fine.
