Por W/kids--need Advice?!

I just booked POR for 1st week in May for me, dh, dd 10, dd 9, ds 5. We want to save money & stay at a moderate. All the reviews I have read have been mostly by adults. I was wanting to hear from those that have stayed there with kids. We really loved CBR last May but want to try a different resort this time. I hope we have made a good choice. Is the pool better than CBR's? We thought the CBR pool was rather small. Any input would be appreciated!

We have stayed there 3 times with our kids. The boys like it better than CBR and DD and I slightly prefer CBR. DS(s) like the trundle bed and the overall theming better at POR. We have always stayed in the AB section for obvious reasons. Have fun!!

Sorry forgot to address the pool issue. Yes, I believe the main POR pool is larger than CBR's main pool. There are also plenty of quiet pools.

Our kids (now at ages 19, 16, 8, 2) are always with us. They love the pools, food court and Bob at the Piano bar (very family orientated). I think they like to stay at the AB rather than Mansions and would rather be closer to the main building than further.

Until the last few trips we used the buses (fairly good service), but now get a minivan rental (see these boards for good rates). We now cannot live without it as the kids like to go to the malls and Outback restaurant. During our upcoming visit we will spend one day at Universal (sorry, feel guilty sort of!), but will travel back to POR rather than stay offsite.

Not my personal opinion, as we've always stayed at the Value resorts, but I've got friends that go several times a year and always stay at POR. Their kids are 6 and 3.
