POR vs. POFQ

I booked POFQ (switched from WL and saved OVER $1000 ) but am now questioning that decision..would POR be a better fit? Our sons are going to be 4 and 6....thanks!

PS, I hate this flip flopping I'm doing over resorts!!!

I think either resort would be great! We are doing POFQ in a few weeks and POR was our honeymoon. The POFQ is much smaller so with the little guys it would be less walking. We enjoyed the pool at POR but my ds is absolutely extatic about the dragon slide at POFQ.

POR does have the sitdown dining, and the marina/bike rentals are down there. Both resorts have the themed pools and playground, and the boats to DTD.

To be honest, the POFQ (from what I remember of it) seemed much more bright and childlike. I think my kids will appreciate the slightly brighter tones and the pool theme more than the more muted tones of POR.

Remember that it is a short walk between these two resorts too -so no matter where you stay you can enjoy the amentities at both sides.

Whatever you decide will be great, and free dining will make it all the better! Happy Planning!

POR is my favorite mod resort. I wouldn't think twice about changing to save $1000 . I think the kids will love it. The pool and slide are fun and they can go fishing at the fishing hole. You can take the boat to DTD too.

I was looking inot this too. I like the idea of POFQ because it's smaller. But I think POR looks prettier (mansions), better themed, bigger foodcourt with better choices, and thier playground is much nicer. Also the surrey bike and boat rentals would be good for us. They have more pools too and the main pool looks really fun. I'm just a little scared of the bus situation at POR since it's usually picked up second after POFQ.

4 of our 5 nights are at polynesian. We added the 5th night, and switched it for por. So, one night at por could make or break the trip. I really have heard good things about por being the best moderate, etc. I have also heard that the walking can be tough. But, please, walking is all you do down there anyway. Whats a little more..Im sure they are all fine. And that 1000 bucks..wont tell you what i couldve saved by staying at por the whole trip. But, the poly is a gift..to someone special..
all are great. if its not, get to the parks..

Having stayed at both, you made a wise decision. WL is very nice, but not $1000 nicer. You must also consider, how much time will I be at the resort compared to the parks?

Hi there, we stayed at the POR last May and absolutely loved it, our DD's were 4 and 6 months at the time. We stayed in one of the Mansions and did not find the walk to be bad at all.

The nice thing about staying at either POFQ or POR is that
they are Sister resorts and it is very easy to either walk over or
catch boat ride over to either and use both facilities.
We stayed at POR last trip and loved it but were able to
spend one day at POFQ-- Ate breakfast, swam in pool then
walked back to POR--very easy and we really enjoyed it.
Both resorts are Beautiful!!!
I don't think you will be disappointed with either--Plus you
saved $1000.00!!!!

I switched to AKL Savannah view so bye bye 1000 plus some! BUT, that said, we realized we had more to spend on the vacation than we thought so we're excited about AKL
