POR vs POFQ pool crowds

Does POFQ have a less-crowded pool because it is a smaller resort? We will be staying at POR RR late Feb. 2016 and would like to visit the POFQ one day.

Yes it has a quieter main pool. Not sure it is any quieter than the quiet pools at POR. I think it is quieter for a few reasons. First you can go and visit both POR and POFQ if staying at one resort. I am going to say more people visit POR pool when stay at POFQ rather than the other way around. I think it is quieter also because it is known more for a romantic couples resort, rather than a family resort, so I think a lot less families stay there, and a lot more couples, who probably don't use the pool much. I think lastly, POR is geared pool is geared towards 5 to 16 yo, were POFQ is geared towards 3 to 7, so and don't take this wrong, when you don't have teenagers you don't have noise, therefor it is quieter.

This is helpful. Thank you. Our DD 3 will be with us and I think the POFQ pool will be more her speed but the RR more special for her first trip. I'm glad the RR mansions are closer to POFQ so we can walk over!

The pool will be more her speed if she uses the slide. It isn't as big an area as the main pool at POR but we go usually in November so getting chair at either isn't much of an issue . At both pools if you don't want noise just stay away from chairs near the "pool party" staff and their speakers Altho we noticed last year the volume was much better than in the past.

I would say that POFQ is the quieter pool. As others have posted it is for younger kids. We use the pool occasionally during our trips and it has never been super crowded. Even on our one trip in June (2009) and the very warm temperatures it may have been 1/2 full at the very most.

For a Feb. 2016 trip I would bet it will be pretty quiet. You may only see 20 people at the pool depending on the time you go. They also have roughly 5 lifeguards around the pool so that's like a 4:1 ratio which is pretty good safety wise too.
