We just got back from POFQ and loved it. We've booked our trip for next year at POFQ again, but I'm wondering about POR. Given the choice of the 2, which would you pick? TIA!

I've stayed at both, and enjoyed each one. Personally, I prefer POFQ for its size and the fact that the WDW buses usually pick up there before continuing to POR (when I was there last week, the exception to this was the bus for Typhoon Lagoon/DTD, which picked up at POR first and then came to POFQ).

POR has a larger food court, a table service restaurant, and quiet pools, which are not available at POFQ, but at POFQ the pool is centrally located, the food court is sufficient, and I can be pretty much anywhere in the resort in just 2 or 3 minutes. If I want table service I can walk, take the boat, or a bus to Boatright's at POR.

I guess it really depends on your priorities and family situation as to which resort would work best for you.

POR - the creepy clown in the POFQ food court is just too much! Hehe. :)

I personally prefer POR Alligator Bayou section. We've stayed in both and while I liked how POFQ felt smaller and there was definately less walking to get to places I also love the more spread out feeling and landscaping of POR. Depends on what you want but I don't think you'd be disappointed with either.

We prefer POFQ for it's size, quiteness and being the first on the buses! We also love the look of the resort. It is so pretty.

They both are such pretty resorts with so much to offer in both. I always think about trying something new and since these are sister resorts you can always stay at POR and just walk on over to POFQ and enjoy what they have to offer. I think POR is wonderful, from the grounds, rooms, restaurants, cms and everything in between it truley is a one of a kind. :goodvibes

I love POFQ, but in your case I would try something new and go for POR :).

I love POR and I am going there again in November, It is a moderate that feels like a deluxe.

We have stayed at both and you can't go wrong either way. We stayed at POR while POFQ was closed, so we didn't have to deal with the bus issue. I think that, if I had to choose, I would pick POFQ for the same reasons others have said, particularly the size and it was pretty nice getting on the buses first.

I am an admitted Disney resort vagabond I am always looking to stay at a different resort than my last visit. I don't think POR will disappoint you if you choose it.

POFQ is the last stop to and from DTD, but first to and from the parks. This is only a problem when Marketplace is closing, so try to avoid using DTD buses then. But I have to agree about the table service. I have so many favorite places to eat at WDW Boatwrights doesn't usually make the cut.
