If we are strictly using bus transportation (my mom is afraid of heights so probably wouldn’t use the sky liner) which resort would you prefer? We have stayed at POR many times and really enjoy it. We stayed at CBR years ago and we’re not very impressed. However, with all the new updates and renovations, it seems more appealing. We have 3 young kids so the pool is also a factor. Thank you!

Also Port Orleans French Quarter has an awesome kids slide!

If you're strictly using buses, I'd choose POFQ over Riverside. They only have the one stop, and it's a much more compact resort with far fewer guests. Granted, the room prices are a little more because of that.

The serpent slide at POFQ is pretty cute, and they have a decent splash pad too. CBR probably does have the better pool, but I still prefer the PO resorts to CBR if not using the Skyliner.

I'd go with a PO resort over CBR if you're using buses. I believe the bus service from CBR was decreased to DHS and Epcot due to the skyliner.

While I would normally stay CBR since I love the resort, if you are not using the Skyliner, I would choose POR. I believe when we were just at CBR, as long as the Skyliner was running the notes at the bus stop said "use Skyliner" so I am not sure if there were busses to HS and EC. If there were, they were probably not frequent.

POR hands down. I had the same impression as you about CBR when we stayed there a number of years ago. Last year, we decided to jump off at the Skyliner connection to check out the CBR lobby renovations and grab a mobile order from their quick service for dinner. It was a terrible way to end the day. I have never waited so long for a mobile order. It was easily an hour and the lobby was packed with people waiting for their order. It was hard to even see the lobby since it was so packed with people. Perhaps it was an off night but it reaffirmed my feeling that I really did not want to book a stay there again. Plus it felt like such a long haul from the Skyliner to the central area. The resort is just way too big for my liking. I know many people have had a great experience at CBR but we just have not had one yet. Like you, we have had lots of great stays at POR and POFQ. I would stick with that tradition if you know you like it :)
