POR vs AKV

Right now we are booked with free dining at POR but we have the opportunity to rent points and stay at AKV and just pay for our dining. We have not stayed at either resort. I should note that we are not park commando people and like to take advantage of enjoying the resort.

For those of you who have stayed at both give me some pros and cons for both resorts.

I have stayed at most of the resorts at WDW, especially the deluxe and DVC resorts, and AKV-Kidani is my favorite place to stay. I absolutely love this resort. We are also not park commando types and we love hanging out here. We love the pools, the food options, rooms, animal viewing, bonfires, etc.

We do not do the dining plan so my opinion is based strictly on resort, not a package deal.
