Does it really take about 30 minutes to get to Epcot from POR once you get on a bus. Can someone that has been to POR and taken their bus system tell me how long it took them to get to Epcot? Thank you. :goodvibes

Nope, Epcot is right down the street from POR (PO is very centrally located) and once you are on the bus, it wouldn't take more the 15 minutes MAX to get there...

Well, I stayed at POFQ in May, and we had some of the longest bus rides imaginable! :scared1 And the 2 PO resorts share busses most days. I'm not sure if we had a new driver but 1 time he actually circled POR twice picking up passangers. Or maybe it is a new Disney policy to pack the busses to the gills before going to the parks!

The busses are fine but if you have dining ressies give yourself plenty of time to get to where you are going! :wave2:

It kind of depends on your luck. If you get there right when an Epcot bus pulls up, vs. having to wait 20 mins for one makes a big difference. The number of stops the bus has to make (It takes at least 5 mins to go to all of the POR stops, then longer if you stop at FQ too). So, sometimes you get a nice short ride, but 30 mins isn't unheard of.

::MickeyMo Nah. We always were on the first bus stop (when the bus comes in) and even with stopping at the two or three other stops, it only took about 10 minutes. The bus service was always very efficient during our stay. ::MinnieMo

Just got back yesterday and we stayed at POR. We used the bus system for our entire visit and have nothing but positive things to say. The longest trip we had to any of the parks was about 25 minutes. Epcot is the closest and took no more than 10 minutes from the time we got on the bus to the time we got off. We also used the Magical Express service to and from the airport, which was also very good. Nothing but a positive experience with the transportation system.

once the bus is out of the resort it should take it around 5 minutes to get to Epcot, 7 minutes to Studio, 12 minutes to MK.

however when I was there in May - WDW had a lot of new bus drivers. these people didn't always know where they were going.

one night we went back through MK to get to SSR from Epcot.

Epcot is almost across the street from SSR..... :rotfl: :goodvibes

So don't go by this last May for any times.

when we came back from the MK - we went to DD instead of SSR....

they also got lost going to the park - we were surpose to go to the MK instead he took us to Studios.... :teeth:

expect more of this type of thing. Disney first bus drivers - the one who know where everything is because Disney added while they were employed - have worked for 30 years and are retiring.

so disney has to add and train new people.

Personally, I prefer to drive to most of the parks except for maybe the MK. If you get there early you don't need a tram, or if you head to a park late you can often times get parking very close to the park.
