POR to Dolphin -- Split Stay Baggage Switch?

Hi,

Wondering if anyone knows from personal experience whether bell services at a Disney hotel (specifically POR) will transfer luggage to the Dolphin during a split stay? I've heard that's the norm when going from a Disney hotel to another Disney hotel, but is it the same when moving to the Swan/Dolphin too? We won't have a car and are hoping to head to a park after we check out of POR, and then take the bus back to the Swan/Dolphin.

I did a split stay in June 2014 with BC and Dolphin. I had to speak to a few different people at the BC in order for this to be arranged, finally getting the OK from the valet supervisor. Bottom line- this is something that is usually granted and don't take no for an answer!

Thanks! I'm hoping this is possible from POR as well. Not sure what my fall-back would be other than the family going to AK while I take a taxi with our luggage to the Dolphin and then catch up to them later. Or maybe I take the family's luggage on the bus to Epcot and then carry/drag it through through the park to the International Gateway and then take the boat to the Dolphin...That would be a memorable trip through Epcot...if they ever let me through bag check...[to be clear, I'm kidding of course about walking our suitcases through Epcot.]

I'd guess that you already know that luggage is not allowed on Disney buses (other than DME).

Though I admit I like the mental picture of slogging all those suitcases across World Showcase -- sort of like the Monkees pushing a bed down the street.

We have transferred luggage both to S/D and from S/D, it was never a problem. To the OP - did you have any issues? I hope not.
