POR to CBR

We're going to be at WDW from June 26-July 4. June 27-July 4th is a package booked by my girls dance studio and we're staying at CBR. After finding out that they needed to be at rehearsal at 3 pm on the 27th we decided to book the 26th. I procrastinated booking so wasn't able to get CBR but did get POR for that night. We're excited about it, we spent our honeymoon there and stayed there on our kids first trip in 2010.

My question is this: We want to go to MK in the morning on the 27th for a few hours. Would it be easier to check out of POR and head to MK in our car OR head over to CBR and hop the bus to MK from there? We'll be heading back to CBR at about noonish and want to get to MK at rope drop because my daughters have to catch the bus for rehearsal. We just want to get a little taste of MK that day (especially since my girls will be busy with dance until after the parade).

Pack a separate overnite bag for your first night at POR. Leave everything else in your car. Give yourself plenty of time to drive over to CBR, check in, leave the car, and catch a bus for MK rope drop. That would be the smoothest transition. It just requires some pre-planning when you pack, and getting up an extra hour earlier. Have fun!

Thank you! This was my thought process but I just wanted to be sure it was the most "efficient" use of our time, lol
