POR to Boardwalk for evening--plz advise

We are thinking of hanging out at the Boardwalk area one evening when we go in May. What would be the best way to get there from POR? We will have a car but would just prefer to use disney transportation as kids think this is a ride in itself. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

The easiest way would be to plan on heading from the POR from a park that afternoon. You can walk to the Boardwalk from the International Gateway between the United Kingdom and France in Epcot. It's a pleasant walk--takes between five and ten minutes depending on your pace. You can also get a boat to the Boardwalk from MGM or the International Gateway. If you are at the Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom, you can take a bus.

If you want to leave from the POR, you can take the boat or bus to Downtown Disney, and transfer to another bus to the Boardwalk.

Another option is to take the bus to MGM and boat or walk from there. MGM closing would be 8:30 or 9:00 in May.
