Hi,

We are staying at POR and I can't wait to try Boma for dinner!

Would the fastest and easiest way to get there be to go to Downtown Disney and then take the ALK bus?
:earsgirl:

I've found the DTD buses don't run as often as Disney says. If AK is open I'd take a bus to AK and then get a bus to AKL. I'd be afraid of a long wait to get a bus to DTD and then another wait to get a bus to AKL.

You might need to use DTD as a transfer point coming home.

POR has great bus service but this will still take some time...
you couls also go to any park the was open and transfer ther but I would not go any further then Epcot or MGM as MK is out of the way for both resorts.
you could also take a taxi it will most likely be under 10 I would say around 7

Would'nt I be able to take the bus from DTD right to AKL? Why would I have to take it to AK park first?

I'll be doing this same journey in July :sunny: . I plan to hop on board the first bus which comes, except for MK which is too far out of the way. Then transfer to an AKL bus from wherever I ended up.

You are correct, you can get an AKL bus from DD, EPCOT, MGM or AK (if it's still open in time for your PS). I think the previous poster was just letting you know that the DD buses may not run as frequently and you might by faster going via another route.

As long as you leave in plenty of time, I wouldn't worry about it.

Excatly, I think the buses from resorts to theme parks are more frequent than the buses to DTD. I don't think I've ever waited more than 15-20 minutes for a bus to a theme park but I've waited 45 minutes for a DTD bus on several occassions.

If AK is open I'd certainly jump on the AK bus if it gets to POR before the DTD bus. If the DTD bus gets there first you might give it a shot.

I agree, the service from DTD isn't as fast. I'd opt to do the bus to AK and then take the AKL bus from AK...if AK is still open. Sometimes the DTD bus service is slower during the day due to TL (think it's that water park it runs with) so maybe at night it wouldn't be so long of a wait, but I don't know. Boma is worth the effort though that's for sure!

As others have said if AK is open we go there then transfer to an AKL bus. Usually we take the first bus that shows up for either MGM or Epcot then hop the AKL bus.

It takes a bit of time, but dinner at Boma is worth it.
