POR safety

I want to jog in the mornings around the grounds. last year i ran around the Boardwalk when staying at Swan. My question is how safe is POR? Also having no interior corridors also concerns me. thanks.

POR does have security but no matter where you stay you should be careful. I don't usually stay in hotels with outside corriders but it doesn't bother me when I stay at WDW. Just use caution and no matter what hotel you are staying in be careful when walking to your room, when you are in the room the deadbolt should be used. The other bar should be used on the door also so no one can walk into the room.

I've always felt safe at POR. Of course use normal safety precautions and don't let your guard down. I've let my teens walk around on their own. The girls needed to stay together and they all had cell phone access.

For me, I feel safer with exterior corridors than interior.

I've stayed at POR 4 times and have never had a problem. I've walked to the food court in the early morning and late at night alone at least a dozen times.

I've wandered around alone at night there many times, and never felt anything but safe. I think it's always good to stay aware, though, no matter where you are.

My husband goes running around the various resorts very early in the AM (I've gone walking at 6AM) and have no qualms about it. I just don't like doing it in the dark.

I walked alone there alone in the very early morning and felt very safe. I did wait for the sun to come up though. I felt very safe at night as well.
