POR rooms

We have just extended our wedding/honeymoon stay a couple of days in December. The last 3 days we will spend at POR. I was wondering if anyone can recommend any rooms in the mansions? Thanks!

I've stayed in Magnolia Terrace last Nov. and absolutely loved it. There is a beautiful garden area there to enjoy with roses and many other plants. There is a quiet pool/laundry room in between this mansion and Acadian House (probably not 50/70 feet from any room at the mansion and Ole Main Island isn't 100 feet from this mansion either (just a short walk over the bridge and just a bit further to the main building/food court (not more than 5 minutes tops). Very nice and very quiet.

My DH and I also spent part of our honeymoon at POR and we stayed at Magnolia Terrace. I have to agree with yecats, it was beautiful and quiet. We loved it. Would definitely recommend renting a boat and heading down to the Downtown Disney area. It is a wonderful, peaceful ride and you can truly appreciate the beauty of the resort.

I stayed at Acadian. I would agree that Magnolia Terrace is slightly more convienent than Acadian, because of the foot bridge over the river to Old Man Island. The bus stop at Acadian was rarely crowded, but it wasn't the first stop either. I was impressed with the quietness. I was on the second floor facing the main entrance and had a view of a small fountain.
