POR-Room Safes-how large?

I know there was a thread about this a few months ago, but now that many rooms at POR are updated, I thought I'd ask whether the room safes at either the Mansions or AB are large enough to accommodate laptop computers? I recall someone on these boards had stayed at both POP and POR and was clever enough to take some photos that they posted.

Anyone who stayed at POR recently have any feedback to provide? We leave 4/6 and my mother might need to bring a laptop for work.

Hi Jess,

Unless they've made the safes A LOT bigger since the last time we were there, there is no way a laptop would fit.

It's basically a place to put your wallet, fanny pack, and/or small purse.

The front desk area may have larger safes you can use. Someone else may know more about that.

I don't think a lap top would fit into the safe in the AB section, unless it's a small palm size laptop. The safes are about 8 inches x 8 inches but only about 3 inches deep (if my memory's working correctly!).

The safe at POR is not big enough for even a small laptop. I have several and usually take my 6" x 8".
My laptop always goes with me for work reasons (24x7) and I travel fairly often.
I have never locked it in a safe anywhere, WDW or other hotels throughout the country.
It sits on the desk or table in plain sight and I never worry about theft. It is password protected so no one can use it in the room.
I also leave my camera's sitting out and have never had a problem.
If your worried about it in the open just put it into the case and put the case into one of your larger empty suitcases.
