POR room requests

How do we request specific building, room at POR? 10th anniversary and we booked standard room. I hear the mansions are better and DH leaning toward this. Any suggestions on which mansion and room(s)?

It all depends on what theming you like. We prefer the Alligator Bayou section. We always ask for Building 14.

BECAUSE OF THE CTH CODE NOT BEING AVAILABLE AT CBR, WE HAD TO SWITCH TO POR. NEEDLESS TO SAY, MY BF IS NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS. WE BOTH WERE VERY EXCITED ABOUT STAYING AT CBR AFTER READING YOUR THREAD. PLEASE TELL ME WE WILL LIKE POR. ALSO, I WAS THINKING OF REQUESTING BLDG 14 ALSO. CAN YOU TELL ME IF IT IS 2 FLOORS OR 3.

We love POR & have stayed there about 9 times & tried both sides. The AB side is much more masculine & laid back IMHO. We love the lush landscaping, peaceful, quiet atmsophere, great food court, relaxing boat ride to Downtown Disney, and rustic decor of the AB section. We've never been lucky enough to get AB 14, but we've gotten AB 27 many times in an upstairs , corner room with 2 windows & a river view, which we request every time. The mansions are lovely & feminine. The honeysuckle vines surrounding Magnolia Terrace remind me of my Grandmother's backyard, so I like to stay there for a change of pace & walk down memory lane. It's a bit farther from the food court & has less shade, so we usually ask for the AB section. Hope this helps.

THANKS FOR THE INFO. MY BF IS VERY UNHAPPY BUT I AM TRYING TO CONVINCE HIM THAT WE WILL LIKE POR. I AM LOOKING TO BE CLOSE TO THE FOOD COURT AS WELL AS THE BUS STOP. IS AB 14 A GOOD CHOICE?

We were in Bldg. 14 in November and it was great. Close to the Food Court and just thru the parking lot to the bus stops. Bldg. 18 looked like a good choice too. It was next to one of the quiet pools and not far from Bldg. 14.

Stayed in 18 before. Loved it. I will try for 14 first then 18 this next trip. 18 is still quiet, and close.

The only catch to AB 18 is that it's smoking-optional. AB 27 is right next to it. By all means, request AB 14 & hopefully you'll get it. We'll be there Jan. 2nd & I intend to request it once again, with AB 27 as our 2nd choice.
