We just got back from PORiverside and to every one that answered my thread before or anyone reading this thread. It was very pretty and relaxing. It highly exceeded our expectations. We were in the alligator bayou section and we were close to the dining and the bus stop. It had a beautiful view of the river and ducks. I thought the mansions were gorgious, they looked like the old south but it seemed like they were not as conveniant for the dining. My daughter wants to do a disney cruise and POR is one of the resorts on the list for cruise. I told her she should choose POR because she will not be dissapointed. My favorite thing was the relaxing boat ride to downtown. We enjoyed boatwrites breakfast especially the banana stuffed french toast. We love love loved POR.

Thanks for such a positive review! We will be checking in on 2/26 and are very excited!:daisy:

Glad you loved POR!! DH and I do too! I am planning what will be our seventh stay there in December!! :cool1: We love the boat ride to DD also :)

We'll be there March 13-21. We've stayed there once before and loved it, but it's been several years ago. Glad to hear it's still great.

We love POR! Can't wait until we are back there next month.

POR is wonderful and all who are planning on staying there will not be disappointed! I was considering staying at one of the deluxe resorts on our upcoming trip and both of my girls (9 & 15) did not want to stay anywhere else but POR!

We stayed in por years ago and really loved it and were going there the 1st week in May for my birthday can't waittttt

We just returned from a stay at BC/BCV but initially my kids thought we were staying at POR(again)...well now they say they want to return to POR next time...nothing against BC/BCV, we had a great time, they just want to go back to POR!!! Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay:goodvibes

Just got back a week ago from POR. We have stayed at Acadian House twice - and loved it. Very convenient to the food court and bus stop. We ended up at Oak Manor this time. The upside - we had a beautiful quiet pool just steps from our door. The downside - 1. It was too cold to use the quiet pool. 2. It was a longer walk to the food court and the bus stops. We would DEFINITELY stay at POR again. I would just try to get Acadian house again - or maybe try AB.

We are staying at POR from March 5-14 and are very excited! We have never stayed there before and I love reading all the positive reviews. We have requested the mansions because it is just my DH and I and we are celebrating our 25th anniversary. It looks romantic!

We're staying there 7/23-7/26 and I have yet to hear anything negative about this place!! I can't wait to go and celebrate our first trip to Disney World!! And first trip to Florida for my DS5!!!

Hi Splash Mom --From one Maritimer to another---I have stayed at POR Riverside twice before and liked it so much that I am returning March 3-13th. You will love it and will have a wonderful time.

Thank you! We are going on Tuesday!! This is our second trip to POR and we cannot wait. Glad you had a great time!!

Have a great time! :wave2: We've stayed at POR 3 times, and we're trying POFQ in Oct. Gotta love the boat ride to DTD!

I'm going for a quick, spur of the moment trip 2/21 - 2/24. Taking my mom and my Aunt. First time without DH (he's working). POR is our hands down favorite moderate. We usually stay deluxe, but when we do stay at POR we don't feel like we've "stepped down" too much. Hardly at all.

Love the banana stuffed french toast but the Sweet Potato Cakes are just as good. :thumbsup2

Glad to hear such great reviews!:goodvibes My husband and I are thinking of going in May.(no kids)

I have read a few years ago in Birnham's that POR is the most romantic and that it is the most like a deluxe that is not a deluxe. Would you all agree?

When we went in 2005(our first stay on sight as a family & my parents, I went as a kid w/ my family and grandparents, so it was magical!) but we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, which we loved! We didn't want to spend much, but the more I kept thinking of being with my husband alone at say Pop Century, I kept hearing kids and seeing a regular motel room. I am sorry, but I want something magical and romantic. We are thinking of going next year w/ the kids and going to the Movies. I think the little ones will love the theming! So help me out, is going to POR definately worth the extra $, especially if I want romance? Don't want to afford a Deluxe this time. Will I be disappointed after going to the Wilderness Lodge? We figure it is approximately $450 more.

BTW What are the rates usually for May codes? Is there a possible 20, 30 or 40% off for rooms only?

We just returned from POR and I loved it so much, I'm planning on staying there on my next trip with my Mom in September! :thumbsup2

We're taking our very first family trip to Disney next month, and we will be staying at POR. I'm thrilled to hear the continual, fabulous reviews for this resort!
