Not sure whether I should post this here or on the POR thread but here goes:

IF we decide to go with two rooms at POR instead of the AoA, can we get adjoining rooms? I know it's a request and not a guarantee but the pictures don't show other doors, so I want to be sure.

After looking at all of the pictures, I like the Princess Rooms and the Mansion rooms best, over the Bayou rooms. Is there any advantage to any of them?

According to the Disney website, the Royal rooms, garden view, preferred rooms, water view, rivery view rooms are most expensive. How do we know which rooms to pick? Is there REALLY a difference?

What kind of view are you looking for? In the mansions, Garden will overlook grassy areas, gardens, and fountains,Water view will overlook the quiet pool, and River view has a view of the Sassagoula River. You should post on the POR thread.

I believe you have the incorrect term. ALL the rooms are adjoining; only some rooms are connecting, which means they have a door between them.

As to which rooms you should pick, I would first pick the one you can afford.

I stay at POR almost every year. When I go solo, I usually splurge and go for riverview. When I take friends, I gauge how much they can afford and book accordingly.

The year I took my mom, we stayed in a more remote area away from the pools, because she is a light sleeper.

POR added a bunch of categories, based on requests that had been made over the years, hence all the new categories. Honestly, wherever you are at at POR is wonderful. I would hop over to the POR and look at Andre's website as well. It will help you make your choice.
