POR-Renovations?

We are staying at the POR the first week of December, and I have heard that there are renovations going on. Does anyone know how long these will last? Also, I have read alot of reports about the poor cleanliness of the rooms here, like filthy carpets, dirty sinks and bathtubs, and broken furniture. has anyone had a recent stay here that can comment on the room conditions? I'm trying to decide if I should change me reservations, so any info would be greatly appreciated!

End of August was our last stay. Other than the reno's at the main pool (was still useable but was blocked rom going under the bridge) the resort was in fine shape. They were painting the outside of building 14, and the inside of another building. When they finished the inside painting, the maids were busily deep cleaning the insides. We were in building 17 and it was in very good condition. I snoped all over and saw no dirt. I was a little surprised to hear super flushing toilets during hte night, just like at the All Stars LOL. We asked for, (when we got there) a corner room with a king bed, second floorand got it. We used the pool by our room, since the grands weren't with us, and we don't care about the slide. Most times we had it to ourselves.
