We will be staying at POR in March and I was wondering about the bus stops. How many bus stops does this resort have? Is it similiar to CBR? Also are the bus stops covered? I thought I read that with some of the value resorts there was no covering overhead at the bus stops but I have never heard it mentioned if the bus stops are covered at POR. And one final question, it will just be myself and husband for this trip and since I have paid for a king size bed what request for building should I make to our TA? I know these are only requests but since I have no idea of what to expect at POR any helpful info would be appreciated. We want to stay in the mansion section and being close to the food court is not important but I would like to be closer to the bus stops, so thanks for any help.

I think I remember 4 stops. The main one at the front building/check-in and 3 others around the resort. Bus stops are covered. Lots of trees around to keep the area cool. There is no internal bus system like CBR, so not nearly as big and spread out. We stayed in Magnolia Terrace and were very close to the last bus stop. I actually walked past it on my first try. Looked farther on the map, but it was right outside the building. Very close. Less than 5 minutes over the bridge to the main pool. Less than 10 minutes to the food court. We love MT. Requesting it again for our Christmas trip. Also has a quiet pool right outside the building with laundry area. We thought it was perfect. Check out some pictures of ours on our last trip.

 I agree with rkmassa, I think there are a total of 4 stops. The main bus stop is 2 separate buildings so make sure you are waiting at the right bus stop for where you want to go. Yes, they are covered also. I've read that POR shares busses with POFQ but when we were there in April we never shared a bus. In fact, there were a couple of times when we were leaving MK and the bus line for POFQ was shorter than for POR so we took their bus and walked home along the river - very beautiful and relaxing. :earsboy:

There are 4 bus stops-north, south, east & west. We were in Magnolia Bend section and the east bus stop was about a 2 minute walk across the parking lot. The only thing that bothered me about this bus stop was that we were always the last to be dropped off at night -which wouldn't be so bad except, you have to walk down a dark, kind of scary, tree and shrub lined pathway. Even my dh thought it was a little freaky. I definitely wouldn't do it alone. Most nights it was only dh & I getting dropped off. As for sharing busses-yes you do share a bus with POFQ and sometimes we even went to OKW. Oh, if you are taking a bus from DD back to POR be prepared to make a few stops. Last Friday it took us over an hour between waiting for the bus to come to actually arriving to the front of the resort to meet ME for our ride back to the airport.
