Hi:
We're staying of POR for a few days before moving over to OKW. We have had breakfast many times at Boatwright's, but never dinner. I was looking for opinions on it for dinner. Thanks.

Hi Tigger7570:D
sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but was wondering if you might answer a question for me :D I am staying at POR for the 1st week of dec and have never eaten at Boatwright's. I would like to try it for breakfast, did you need to have a ps for breakfast or can you usually get in without too much of a wait? any favorites foods you can recommend?
thanks:D

Boatwrights is one of our favs as a family.

Breakfast has many options (you can view the entire menu at allears.net). DH like the standard breakfast, DD get the berries and cream, DS get the banan stuffed french toast, and I try something diff each time. I like the Cresent City Toast and the sweet potato pancakes alot!

Dinner is very goo too. Especially the pot roast and there is a pasta dish that is very good too. Try the sweet potato chips as a side, yummy!

Deserts are great, they have a tray that shows you what they look like.

We've never had a PS, but we usually are there low season and go at off times. Like any restaurant though, if you really, really want to eat there...make a PS.

Thanks jay-nee! I think you answered mine and katypop's questions. I too love the banana stuffed french toast, that's one of the reasons we go there and I enjoy the Crescent Toast as well. Since DH loves Pot Roast, we'll definitely be trying dinner there.

We had dinner there a couple of weeks ago when I was just too tired to keep our PS at Citrico's. Frankly was more than pleased. We shared a shrimp cocktail, just spicy enough for our liking. I had the sirloin with grilled red onion and real mashed potatos DH had the prime rib and proclaimed it excelent (he wouldn't even give me a bit. Believe it or not, for all the years we hve stayed at POR (it will always be DXL to us) this was the first dinner meal we've had there. Beleive me it won't be our last.

We ate there in August and the food for dinner was pretty good. The service was fantastic.

Hi all,
I'm back, and just wanted to address the "to make a ps or not" question. I ended up having breakfast at Boatwrights and had a wonderful HUGE omelet. there were lots of other breakfast items I would like to try so plan on returning during my May trip. It did not seem that busy at POR the 1st week of Dec and I inquired at the restaurant podium on the friday whether I might need a PS for monday morning. I was told I wouldn't need one so didn't bother. I wish I had! It was very busy around 9:00 AM when I arrived and I had to wait about 20 min for a table. So I would suggest you might want to make a PS just in case, you can always cancel it.
hope this helps someone.

We has a PS for dinner both times and definitely did not need them. We do go in off season though. I had the prime rib both times and loved it. My husband had a jumbalya (sp?) style dish once and really liked it (can't remember what he had the first time). Breakfast was always busy when we were there, much busier than dinner.
