Just compared rates the difference is around $200. Now i'm really confused. Pick one!

If you don't mind spending the money, I'd say WL it's awesome!!! Good Luck! :teeth:

WL IS AWSOME  I agree with rdsx28--- if you can aford it DO IT... its great.

Honestly, for the money, I'd stay @ POR. We just stayed for 10 nights @ WL and had a courtyard view, but kept saying the whole time we wish we would have stayed at POR or CSR and saved the extra $$ we spent.

For the $$$ the mods just rock. WL was OK, but the pool was too small for the number of guests and the food court stinks, compared to a moderate. The sit-down is cute once, then it's just loud and obnoxious!!!!!

We also ate at Artist Point after much raving here, and we're sooooo disappointed for the amount of money it costs to what you received (the food itself was just OK and the atmosphere was too bright) for that kind of $$ I expect better. It is also loud and not romantic (at least when we were there)....

Anyway, good luck whatever you choose!

(Stay @ POR Mansions and have dinner @ LeCellier, a much better deal for the $$$ spent!!!!)

Best,
Brando

The reason I was choosing a deluxe was because we will also be spending time in our hotel room and a balcony is something I really wanted. That being said we were suppose to go 2 years ago for our honeymoon and changes the plans. So I kind of want to do it right.

Thanks everyone!

Another thing to consider is WL has that boat to MK. POR doesn't. It may be a small thing to consider, but for us it's huge.

WL for the lobby and balconies!!! If the weather is the pits and you want to hang at the hotel, you can';t beat the WL lobby. Grab a cup of something to drink and head down to the fireplace area or one of the many small quiet sitting areas that overlook the lobby. Plus there is a fitness center to work out in. 200.00 is not much when you consider all you will get at the WL.

I have done the WL, CBR and AllStar Music-if you can swing the price do the deluxe. :Pinkbounc

Other thing to consider is that the WL has queen size beds, the moderates have double. For us that makes a big difference with 2 kids that are getting too big to comfortably share a double bed.

:cool1:

I have stayed at both POR and WL. POR is nice for a moderate, but the WL is much better especially if you are going to spend some time at the resort. Relaxing on the balcony is worth the extra $$$. If you get a woods view room ask for one that overlooks the Otter Pond. With the right room you can see the castle and wishes. POR is more like a motel, with your room opening to the outside and the WL doors open to a hallway. There are a couple of lounge areas with fireplaces on the 4th and 5th floors above the main entrance, which are nice to relax in. As mentioned before, the boat to the MK is fun and the lobby is great.

Ok, we did a split stay between WL (courtyard view) and POR last Trip....dragged my family kicking and screaming to the POR (Great AP Rate). We always took the attitude this is our vacation, and we want to stay at deluxe hotels. 4 nights at the POR and 2005 would be the Beach Club for 6 nights....well, when it came time to book, the only choice was the POR. WL had always been the first choice. We even went over to look at the Beach Club and we agreed next year that was it. My family loved the POR and I thought maybe they would rethink it, every once in a while I will mention the Beach Club, and the answer is nope the POR.
We found the service better at the POR, and we don't expect much. The staff was more accomadating to our DD, leaving towel animals and arranging her toys when we returned from the park. Pool was great, and we just felt happier staying there, there was more room at the pools, no long lines at the food court.
Don't get me wrong the WL will still be great for us, but at this point I feel that if the rest of the family wants to do POR I am not going to complain about saving $$$. That just leaves more for future Disney Trips.
