Really, both are very nice and it is so convenient to use facilities at both resorts. I stayed at FQ the year my parents came with us and I was so glad. It is smaller than POR and it was just so convenient to get around. Bus service was excellant and it was always the first stop picked up and dropped off. We stayed in building 1, which I loved. Near the water yet far enough away from the pool not to be bothered by any noise. We had a standard room yet it overlooked a courtyard whivh had a fountain and was beautiful.
After that visit my family stayed at POR. We really liked that resort more, for us. It was very relaxing. We loved crossing the bridge to go to the food court. Food court is great. I like that the family got to pick what they wanted and we paid all together at the register. POR has the fishing hole if it interests you. They have the marina and surrey bikes. I enjoyed the choice of quiet pools or theme pool. Currently POR is the only one with a sit down restaurant. My daughter and I liked the gift shop more here too. It is more spread out, but my family likes to walk so we found it very relaxing. With POR I like that you can choose between the mansions or the bayou. The bayou can also sleep 5, if you need it.
All things considered, though I wouldn't hesitate to stay at POFQ again, my choice would be POR.
