Now that the French Quarter will be open in August when we are going, I can't decide if I should keep Riverside or try French Quarter.

I am going with my best friend. We went in march but stayed at the Hilton in DD. We decided to go back and stay on-site so that he can experience the magic of staying on-site.

I stayed at Riverside once already and loved it. Should I let him experience Riverside for the first time, or should try French Quarter?

I go insane trying to pick a resort. I almost went mad last year picking one.

I would choose the French Quarter. It's new and different, but still part of the POR family. My take is if we never experience the other resorts how do we really know that one resort is our favorite?! :D I used to think that ASMu was the best, but then I found POR, and then AKL and then WL and... ;)

I just switched from POR to POFQ. We love both resorts, but we have stayed at POR the last three times. We are just extatic to be at POFQ at the same rate that we had at POR for June. Thanks to CRO for MAJOR help. Reallly, you will not be disappointed at either resort. Both are excellent, especially with the boat to Downtown Disney running. We have loved both.

We have stayed at PO-R twice when it was known as DXL...once in the mansions and once in the bayou. This fall we will be staying at PO-FQ...haven't tried it, but have heard wonderful things, and we are really looking forward to it! This time we are definitely taking the boat to DTD... we never have, but since it hasn't been running, I figure we better give it a try before they decide to take it away again!:)

Between trips with family and friends I have stayed at POR 3 times (alligator and mansion sections) and POFQ 5 times. I like both resorts. My family favors POR for the landscaping and quiet pools. My friends prefer FQ. It's more compact and easier to navigate. Also, its only a short walk to the food court for that first cup of coffee in the morning. For some this is very important. If you want to visit the other resort there is a nice path - about a 10 minute walk. You will enjoy either!
