pretty self-explanitory really. On our first visit me and my friend are unsure which to pick.

Was wondering which has the better locations, transport (using Disneytransport), theming (like the look of the mansions, not sure which one these are from) etc?

thanks :goodvibes

Hmm... that is a tough question, but I think I would choose POR over POFQ. The reason being that there are more dining options and it doesn't look so tacky IMO. Plus, I have heard that the transportation there is better. :)

They're both great. I like POFQ because it's smaller and I like the theming (more romantic IMO, but I don't know what kind of friend you're taking ;) ). POR by far has the better food court and a restaurant, plus more activities (sea raycer rentals, surreys, carriage rides...). Transportation to the parks is better at POFQ...they're on the same route but POFQ picks up first so you're almost always guaranteed a seat, plus it drops off first on the way back.

POFQ

1. It's smaller.
2. Better transportation. One area to get on the busses before you hit POR and a lot of times the bus is full or close to it before you get to POR, so people at POR have to stand or wait for another bus.
3. Quiet, beautifully themed. Not tacky like someone mentioned. If that poster maintains POFQ is tacky then they have to say POR is as well because they both have an obvious theme. Grounds are beautiful to walk around. Feels like you are away from the business of the parks.
4. We liked the food court and found it to provide what we needed. POR food court is bigger and has some different offerings, plus they have a sit-down restaurant. But to have this be a deciding factor, you'll have to determine how much you would actually eat at your resort. We just do an occasional breakfast, 1-2 dinners, and a few ice cream cones so it was perfect for us.

We fell in love with POFQ as a mod and so did my fam when we took them there. I judt wouldn't stay at POR because it is so much bigger and the bus service appears to be inconvienent.

I stayed at POFQ 6 years ago and just booked a stay for June 2008 there. It is smaller..which is nicer and yes, the bus transportation is better since you get on before POR. If you like the bigger food court and table service restaurant, you can stay at POFQ and it is a short walk to POR. We walked over to POR food court several times during on last visit. Shopped at the gift shop and looked around grounds. I really prefer the smaller POFQ resort.

I'll throw my two cents worth in and say POFQ. The theming is beautiful (not tacky), the resort is smaller than POR, the pool is beautiful, and the transportation is better. The buses pick up and drop off first at POFQ. We thought the food court at POFQ was fine but if you don't like it, you can always jump on the river shuttle and go down to POR's food court--it takes about 5 minutes.

I really loved sitting at the fountain near our room in POFQ and watching the little family of bunnies that lived nearby.
