POR or CSR with little ones?

We are debating between POR and CSR for an eight night trip with ds (almost 4) and dd (1) in December. (I actually want to book a mod now with the hopes of possibly getting an AP rate at WL later, but I'm really not banking on it, so....) We are definitely pool users (we're from Boston, so yes, even in December ) and are somewhat, but not very, concerned about transportation, as we will be hoofing around two kiddies and the double stroller.

We have stayed at POR and really liked it, but never with kids (our only kid trip thus far was to AKL). I hadn't even really considered CSR, but the more I hear and see of it, the more I think it looks really nice - I'm just wondering how they rate from the perspective of people travelling with little kids.

Any words of wisdom are GREATLY appreciate - thanks in advance!

I do not like the Pepper Market at the CSR at all. I found that b-fast for all 4 of us was way more $$ than any other moderate food court. My family did really enjoy the whole dig site area, pool, playgrounds and spa. It is also huge, walking anywhere took forever.

We've stayed at both. We like CSR, don't have much we didn't like, didn't really care for food court. We loved the pool area and transportation.
POR we LOVE!!!!!! Just love everything about it! Beautiful grounds, food court, pool and just everything! Can't go wrong, we will be there soon! Good luck.

DH and I stayed at CSR for our 10th anniversary. It is beautiful, but be aware that it has a huge convention center in it, so attracts a lot of corporates - so is a more adult place, if you ask me.

We will be at POR this fall for the 3rd time with our 3 kids, and we all love it! The food court is more family-friendly and they have an awesome pool.

They are both great resorts, but for families, we like POR better. We have stayed at WL also, and loved it, but honestly like POR better than that one too! (I feel more like I am on vacation there)

We have stayed at both with young ones and we like them both !! You already know POR. CSR has a great Dig Site, pool, playground is great, kiddie pool is large and right next to big pool/slide which is great when we had kids doing two different things. Playground is great ! Food and drink both available there. We loved the Pepper Market, and felt like while we were in a food court, it was alittle more special and had more food options. Transportation is much better than POR. We loved that it was a convention resort because there seemed to be less kids there and therefore a quieter and more relaxed time while doing the hotel. Unless you were in the main building we never saw the business folks. While they are working it means plenty more room in the resort for the rest of us to enjoy.
