hi all
going on a 4 land/3 sea cruise 3/04 with hubby and 3 and 4yo. which of the above resort would you choose and why?
thanks

CBR is a beautiful resort but I also like POR. It depends on what atmosphere you want at your resort. I don't think you could go wrong with either one.

I've been to both. Por was my first and I fell in love with it. Especially the boat to DTD. The next year I went the boat wasn't running, so I decided to try CBR. I love that one even more. It has sandy beaches with hammocks & volley ball. I like the convience of the main pool by the foodcourt. At POR it is farther away. I also find there are more tables to sit at outside the CBR foodcourt CBR would be my choice..

i think i'm going to go with CBR. the whole point of going away in the winter is to get away from snow so i think we'll enjoy the caribbean theme. also, the playgrounds and pools look like more fun for the kids.
anybody have any room suggestions?

I suggest you read the CBR FAQ thread listed below. It depends on what you want to be near as far as building recommendations. The FAQ contains info on many areas of CBR.

Hello :-)

After reading as many threads and as many posts as I could find on the CBR, I think I am going to request building 52 in Aruba, as my first choice. Do you all think that's a good choice?

Originally, I thought I would ask for Jamaica building 45 or 44, but after reading the posts on this board, I'm worried about being too close the the playground. I do not have children yet and want this vacation to be peaceful. Plus, other families might be vying for a room near the playground, and I don't want to take that away from someone with little ones.

I like the idea of about a 10 minute scenic walk to OPR, but I wouldn't want the walk to be much longer than that. What do you think?

Aruba 52 seems away from the parking area. I requested the standard view, so that might be what we get.

It would be nice if somehow we lucked into a room with a view of the lighthouse on the other side of the bay. However, with the 4th of July and POFQ closing, I'm afraid every room will be filled.

We'll be lucky if we are able to avoid Trinidad South. I wouldn't want to have to cross the street to get to OPR. That would take away some of the magic.

I could ask for Martinique or Trinidad North. Do you think they will be swamped on the 4th? For some reason, my thoughts keep returning to Aruba 52. If others think this would be a good request for me to make, please let me know.

Just for fun, does anyone know what color the buildings and roofs are in Aruba?

Thanks so much!
