POR never again (LONG)

We were there in April and had stayed there a couple of times before. This past trip we kept coming up with the worst cast members from check in to food court to the resort store. Everyone was in such a bad mood. I was ignored when no other guest were around, checked out at a register without ever being looked at or acknowledged, given a hard time about getting into our room after 4:30 when I had personally walked over and saw that it was finished over an hour and half before ( and yes, I knew which room we were assigned, and I saw housekeeping leave it and not come back we just couldn't get the key) and heard rude comments made about my pregnant wife. There was several more things, all relating to cast members, the room was fine. I complained to Disney, someone got back a couple of months later and the end result was them saying" But it sounds like your trip wasn't bad" not I'm sorry. I didn't want anything free, just a reason why I should try them again. Didn't get it.

I like the resort theming but thanks to the cast members,we are not going back. We are doing the Contemporary this weekend instead.

We've been going to POR for years and I have to say I have never experienced anything such as I've read here. Mistakes are bound to happen no matter where you stay.

We have stayed at POR thousands of times and never had a bad experience.

we loved the rooms, thought the resort was beautiful, loved the pool and the boats to DTD. However, we had the WORST bus service! 40 minutes or longer each and every time! We had stayed at Coronado Springs the trip before and never waited more than 15 minutes, so this was a big deal to us. We didn't have rude CMs, but no one was overly friendly.........no one wanted to engage in conversation or pay attention to our son or anything........no big deal normally, but having previously experienced very disney-like CMs, it just made us feel like we were staying off-site. The next year we did stay off-site, and I honestly feel that the off-site hotel wasn't as pretty as Dixie Landings (what it was called then), and the pool not as nice..........but the transportation with our rental car and the hotel staff customer service were comparable. So, we decided it was nice to do off-site once, and nice to do POR once, but not again. We wouldn't hesitate to go back to Coronado Springs though.........we loved it...........but our budget allows us to try out deluxes now, so we're going with a few of those to find our favorite (this time the Wilderness Lodge).

wow! sorry that you guys had such bad experiances.

we have stayed at por and found that it is one of our favorite resorts to stay at there. we have stayed there many times and it has always been wonderful. but every place will have their bad moments where you will encounter bad service or a bad experiance. the thing is that those rude cms or those who were not doing their job properly should be reprimanded and the customer compensated.
