POR, need a GPS like Tim?

I was watching a recent vlog by Tim Tracker the other day on POR. He was in the AB section, back in the back and actually had to pull up his GPS to get himself out of there. . I kid you not. It was funny, but I was surprised. Must really be a maze?

Yeah, it is not that difficult, especially for someone who spends much of their time on the theme park properties like he does. I imagine he did that for content purposes. Slow night maybe?

And yes I have stayed there in Alligator Bayou, Mansions and Royal Guest Rooms. Never got lost.

Yeah, Tim not being the most knowledgeable about the parks/resorts was one of the reasons why I unsubscribed a few years ago. It was amazing how many times he got the most basic of information incorrect.

I've stayed at Riverside a few times and it's not that difficult to navigate.

Vastly, Vastly overblown - but hilariously stupid to watch - so if you are looking to be entertained by all means - otherwise for everyone else, lots of other more credible sources out there.

This past trip I needed to get out my iPhone with the map quite a bit to find the correct paths to places. But I am not a local nor visit the parks regularly. There I am walking around like Hudson with a motion tracker just without the sound effects.

You're heading in the right direction (such as to the big mountain in front of you). But instead of taking the left pathway (the correct one) you take the right pathway (the dead end). Which I have. So I am thankful it is there and very user friendly.

Then again, I dont have a podcast either. I'm just one of many many visitors.

I definitely need a map of some kind to navigate the alligator bayou section. It can be maze like, especially late at night. But I still prefer this section over the Mansions.

The buildings and the rooms in Alligator Bayou can be difficult to find based on which building you are looking for. The numbering system for the rooms is weird, too. We have walked completely around a building looking for our room.
For example, at building 27, a room on the ground floor is number 2727. The room directly above room 2727 on the second floor is room number 2759. And each building is actually two buildings that are connected in the middle by service area.

That is why we now book a river view room when its available. Those rooms are in the front of the building and easy to find.

Yes, my DD brought it up and we watched it and we were laughing at how he was over dramatizing it. My DD remembered when we were in the AB section and said that after the first day, once we got to walk to and from our room once, it really was not difficult at all to walk around. She liked that you could take a different route if you wanted to. We really got a big laugh out of when he looks at the building number sign and he talks about that it was nice that they had an alligator on the sign to help know where your building is. My DD laughs and says that the alligator is on all AB building signs and sure enough he realizes it. LOL We really liked walking through POR, so much so, that when we came back at night from the parks we would get off in the front even when our room was in the back of the resort. It was such a nice walk and it was a great way to end the day and more relaxing than rushing back to our room.
Maybe it's just my family, before our trip, but DW and I will always look at the resort map to get a feel of it and now both my DDs have joined in. They actually made it a contest/game of who can come up with the best routes So now, a few days before our trip, we will bring it up on our TV at home (so it's bigger) and will get familiar with the resort. It is fun and gets us even more excited for the trip. And now with online check-in, if we get our room # texted to us while still driving to WDW, they will quickly get on their devices and start looking at where our room is etc.

The title of this particular vlog and picture associated with it is not particularly click-baity though.

If he wanted more views he should have titled it, “Lost in the Bayou!” with a picture of a helicopter overhead doing a search and rescue. Lol.

We stayed in a Standard view room in AB before, that was easy. But now I have us in a Woods view for AB and his video caught me off guard.
