My family will be going to Disney in November for a reunion of sorts. Since we are considered the Disney "experts" we were given the task of choosing the hotel based on everyone's criteria. So we decided to stay in POR and my family and probably my brother's will stay in the royal guest rooms. (We have stayed there before and they were a big hit with our kiddos.) ANYWAY, my parents don't want a royal guest room. It is ok that we aren't all in the same building, but we would like to be relatively close. Which section/building should they request so they are near us and not on the opposite side of the resort? Thanks!

Oak Manor is the building to request for the royal rooms and Magnolia Terrace for the King room. They are the middle two of the four plantation style buildings. Both are very convenient to the east bus stop as well. We stayed in Magnolia on our first trip and really liked it.

Are there queen rooms in Magnolia Terrace, too? My parents have now decided to stick with that due to price. Oak Manor is where we were last year so we are familiar with that.

Yes, there are rooms with 2 queens as well in Magnolia Terrace. For more info than you can shake a stick at check out http://www.portorleans.org/ . There you can check out the floorplans of all the buildings to see what type rooms are where and how they relate to the other buildings. Is there really that much of a price difference between a king and two queens?
