POR French Quarter : is there a Doctor in the house ? No, really...

So I’m on my way to WDW now, after a few weeks of suffering a typically awful cold with a never ending cough. I‘m doing much better (yes, I plan to wear mask), but of course this morning I woke up with vertigo. I took my meclazine, but I was thinking that maybe I could see a doctor who could check me out - otherwise I expect I won’t get such great nights sleep while I’m here.

Today is going to be all resort day, so I won’t be missing anything, Can the staff call a doctor ? Is There one in house?

Disney partners with Advent Health in case you need non emergency medical care. There in info on MDE app where the tiles are for tickets, resorts, transportation etc. ..just keep scrolling past that you can click on "Healthcare" and get more information but the phone number is (407) 939-7480

ETA: they can provide video visits and deliver precriptions to your hotel too.

Google "epley maneuver" and try doing it on yourself, if it's vertigo caused by BPPV that might help right away.

Call the front desk or concierge. I was injured once on site and they sent a doctor to my room. Alternatively you could see if teledoc appt available or head to clinic. Feel better

I texted my doc, and he said the Prednisone I’m taking probably triggered it. I’m good now, so I just need to sleep carefully ….

By the way, FQ is awesome !

Thank you! This great to know in case I need it …I’m hoping that sleeping with my head elevated and on my back will help. Until I’m done with the Prednisone, I’m probably going to have to deal with it….

I think I should be ok on the rides like FOP, TT, BTM…but I think I’ll avoid TRON for now.

Ah, this isn’t that - I have had that before, and it was incredibly debilitating. I actually went to a physical therapist for that, and it worked. I haven’t had an episode (it’s been months) since…

Prednisone makes me feel very dizzy and weird. In fact, I cannot take the high dose they usually start of at. Im glad you are doing better! Hope it all clears up and you have a wonderful time!

I had taken it once before, a long time ago, and had no issues...but that was long before I had vertigo (which doesn’t happen a lot).

I badly needed the steroid, so I‘ll just work are fun it.
