POR - Disney’s Fleabag Motel

Even if every single issue was caused by previous guests that’s still an entirely separate problem from Disney turning around and renting said room to the next party.

Not okay. Not okay at the Grand Floridian, not okay at the All Stars. Disney should be better than that.

Are you kidding?

This has zero to do with any of the problems we had. Dogs did not cause a dirty toilet, hair left in the tub, stained counters, a coffee pot COVERED in dust, with an old used coffee pod in it along with old coffee in the pot. A dog didn't cause the baseboards to be filthy and a dog didn't cause tile grout to be grungy.

What a ridiculous comment and part of the reason Disney isn't held accountable for their faults. DISNEY is the one responsible for their properties. DISNEY is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of a room before they accept money for someone to stay in it. If they can not repair/clean a room then it shouldn't be rented out until they can. Period.

Agree, and even it was pet related, they charge fee for those pet stays and that money would be used to maintain these rooms. While I am guilty of overlooking certain flaws bc it is Disney, you can't overlook some of those things. I have dogs and my house does not look like this. My kids when younger could cause more household wear and tear than my dogs.

Did you even look at the pictures? The scratches and scuffs look like where ppl hit the door frames with luggage or housekeeping carts. None of that looks like a dog did it.

I believe they were referring to the post about the big wet spot on the carpet, not the damage to the walls and doorframes.

Edited to add: I was wrong- that wasn't the reference, but it's what it is certainly a possibility with the wet carpet. Regardless, as I've said before, I don't care why, I just care that it is and it shouldn't be.

The dog issues (smells, stains, and damage) cause a lot of extra work for Mousekeeping at a time when Disney is already having a hard time keeping enough good housekeepers. The "Opt Out" gift cards can only help so much. I don't blame the housekeepers for not wanting to clean up after people... AND animals too.

Do they put dogs in any rooms? Or are there certain rooms dedicated to furry guests?

Hmmm, What do dogs have to do with "scratched walls, missing paint, Dried Mystery Substances on the walls" and bad smells?!! Take a guess.
Still WDW's responsibility to clean it. No one is asking how any of it got there but saying it's unacceptable that it wasn't cleaned or repaired before the next guest. I have 2 dogs & a toddler. Each one of them is pretty much equally capable of most of those things...BUT my house doesn't look like the room b/c we clean & repair as needed.

Then that's for them to work out among themselves & WDW. Not the guests' problem.

There are supposed to be "Dog Buildings" but in reality, they are put in every building. (Plus there are now a lot of people who sneak dogs into their rooms rather than pay the fee. It's a pretty serious problem right now)
What is a serious problem? Ppl sneaking in dogs? Shouldn't that be fairly easy to detect?

BTW, I stayed in POR in 2015 before the dogs were allowed in & that room was in deplorable condition then. Cobwebs, cable input for the tv hanging out the wall & tv didn't work, overall dirty bathroom, etc.

First world problems..........Cant folks just go enjoy a vacation without complaining....i mean really. WDW is great, Sure.. DLR is better IMHO, but both get an A+!
Sorry, not allowed to say that or we are kool aid drinkers......

Every issue one has on many things is a first world problem. That’s a really weak argument to support putting up with sub standard conditions in an expensive hotel room.
