POR, CBR, or POP

I’m struggling with where to stay. We usually stay at POR and love it. But with CBR renovated and the Skyliner I was thinking of trying something new. Or trying POP to save a little and the Skyliner. Its me, DH, ds16, and dd12. We didn’t like ASMo so POP makes me nervous but I know people love it. So does the Skyliner give them a leg up? And new restaurants at CBR? Or since we haven’t been in a couple years so do we go with what we know we love? Help! Lol

It's just the main buildings that have been renovated at CBR, not the rooms. They haven't been redone since 2015 or so, I believe. Having said that, I'd still be open to trying CBR just for something a little different and the ease of the Skyliner. CBR does have Sebastian's now, which I've heard a lot of good things about. If money isn't a big deal for savings over POP, I'd totally go with CBR if I were you.

We stayed at Pop in April. The new decor in the rooms are too cute. The rooms are very clean. But having said that, the amount of people staying there and getting on the busses is enough for me to stay somewhere else. There was also a lot of school groups there too.

What did you not like about ASMO? I really think that the skyliner is a game changer and our family totally liked using it at Pop during our last stay and we had a fantastic stay. As for buses, I have not stayed at "any resort" where they do not get full and truthfully, over all our 30+ trips, we think the buses do a very good job.

We were just at CBR over MLK weekend. First time staying at CBR. We've done POFQ, twice and AOA (pre-Skyliner). LOVED the ease of the Skyliner at CBR and the central location. My only complaint is the number of internal bus stops at CBR. I really wish they would split them up. I read it about on the boards and thought, it can't be that bad. It is. We wanted to go to MK on Saturday night. Walked down to the bus stop at 7:30. Bus came at 7:40, we then had to stop at Trinidad, Jamaica, and Aruba. Then ride to MK. We finally walked through the gates about 8:30. I'm sure I was spoiled by POFQ - 1 bus stop.

Interesting... last year, during the busy times (morning and night) they had separate buses -- one would hit Martinique--OPR--Barbados--Trinidad and then leave the property (and during the morning rush the bus was often full before it even hit Trinidad), and there was a separate bus for Jamaica--Aruba. I'm guessing since Skyliner has opened some operations have changed.

I think that POR is such a step up from all the other moderate resorts, even after the renovations. I also know that as a teenager I thought being able to hop on the boat and head to Disney Springs for a couple hours on my own was so cool. If that's something you think your daughter might be interested in then it is a great option!
