POR & CASH AT PARKS QUESTION

I have been trying to find the answers on board but no luck

First question Does the POR have a ref in the room and how much can I fit in them

Second I really dont want to carry alot of money in the parks so can i charge it to the room and then pay at the end

Can I pay with a cc at all locations
How much cash do you carry at the parks

The room will have a fairly small refrig and a safe to hold your excess cash. You can charge things to your room by using your resort card. When you check in they will make a copy of your CC to cover any charges made with your room resort card. We used to carry about $150 - $200 a day in traveler's checks, but we are on the dining plan this time around so we will be carrying less. We will also be at POR from 11/4 - 11/13.

Value Resorts: $500.00
Moderate Resorts: $1000.00
Deluxe Resorts: $1500.00

When you reach your charging limit, based on the resort category, they will charge your card that amount and then you can start charging to the limit again. I don't carry anymore that $20 to the parks because I charge everything to the room. Even the Mickey bar carts will accept your room key for charging.

I do hope we dont go over 1000. We are not on the dining plan cause i was able to get a good rate for the POR. I know the last time we where there we spent a little over 1000 and it was for 10nights. This time around we will be there for only 5nights 12/1-12/6 I cant wait
So does all the places take the resort card. I just want to earn as much points as possible on my cc.

Almost everywhere on property will take the room charge card, with the exception of walk around venders (the CM’s that sell drinks and ice-cream in the shows), The Swan and dolphin, and Shades of Green. They even have charge machines at the ice-cream and popcorn carts in the parks now.

I was just at POR in June and it did have a refrigerator. You can fit some water or soda bottles in the door. We also fit a gallon of water and a gallon of milk (for cereal).

That is great I was hoping that it can hold a gallon of milk my DS can not live with out cereal.

Since when did the small vendors start taking cc and the resort key I know that when I was there they didnt allow it

One more question what should I pack for my Dec trip
Is it going to be cold or are shorts still good

Hi

We were at Disney in early Dec. 2004 and 2002 and we are going again this December. Be prepared for cool weather. We wore pants and coats at night. Last year I wished I had mittens and winter coat at Mickey's Christmas Party. We actually left it early because we were so cold, and we are from New England. I think it was in the 40s at night. The kids and my husband were dare devils and went in the pool, just stay under because air temp. was much cooler than water.


Best advice is be prepared and bring layers.

I didnt think that it would be that cold. Layers Layers Layers it will be
My DH and DD dont get cold but my DD and myself are another story
