POR bus?

How is the bus service at POR?

Depends on how busy it is when you go. It shares a bus with POFQ when it is not busy. Also there are 4 stops at POR. If the bus fills up at your stop then it will go straight to the park. Really no different than any other park, however. The big thing is the ride back from the parks. If you leave at park closing there will be a very large line, due to having two parks, but they will usually bring two busses at a time when it is busy to bring folks back to the resort. No problems if you go back to the resort before park closing.:thumbsup2

We have stayed at POR 5x's and only once (Last Easter) did we have a bus problem.....I would give POR's busses an 8 out of a possible:goodvibes 10 stars!!!

I'm not a complainer (well... once in a while, but not usually :goodvibes ), but I have to give my honest opinion here. We have stayed at CSR, ASMO, POP, and POR and I have to say that POR had by far the worst bus service. I'm not sure why they can't get it right here since it seems like a consistent problem from what I've read on these boards. If you use the buses in off times, its not too bad, but the lines at park closings were always longer than the other resort lines. Having said all that, we are staying there this Sept. We don't have a huge choice since we now have 3 children, but it is a beautiful resort with a nice pool and food court. And you can't beat the boat to DTD.

We were at POR in Nov, 08 and didn't really have any trouble with the busses. We always went to the South Depot to catch them going to the parks. Coming back from parks during closing was crowded but it's been that way everywhere we've stayed.

i just returned and I think it was a very crowded week, and we were happy with bus service@ POR. It came about every 15 minutes, and we had a seat everytime, except park closing...which we expected.

At first it seems a hassle to make several stops, but it's really pretty quick and alot of times, there would be no one at the other stops and we just went on.

I think we only went to FQ one time. I think POR was crowded enough to maintain their own buses, and I suspect FQ was too.

We always loaded and unloaded at the Main depot (South I think) which was by the General Store.

Thanks for all the info guys. Just booked today for the 1st week of September. This is only our 2nd trip and we stayed at Pop last time so I'm looking forward to a mod resort.

I went down in the middle of summer (right before free dining) in 2007. No problem with busses, sometimes had to wait 2-3 cycles at MK for a bus but thats expected during park closing.

We were at POR in Feb. and we did not have any trouble with bus service. If a bus is full another comes right behind it about every 10 minutes. All the buses are marked which park they are going to. My husband is handicapped so we were loaded first.
