Hi! staying at POR in Sept. I would like to know about the best building to be close to the main pool and in good proximaty to other things. Any advice about POR would be helpful. Oh by the way we are a party of five so we have to stay AB side. Thank you, Chris:rotfl:

We were a family of five staying at POR's AB last year and can highly recommend building 14 (as will many others, no doubt). It's a very brief (one to two minute) walk to the food court, perhaps three minutes to the pool and about the same to the DTD boat launch. Figure on about four to five minutes of easy strolling over to the bus stops.

Enjoy!! :goodvibes

Thank you for your info. I will call and request building 14. I know I may not get it but it is always worth the try. Thanks again, Chris:surfweb:

building 14, I have this building requested and attached to my ressies and keeping my fingers crossed that I get it. It is closest to the food court and main pool.

Do you call the hotel directly for a building request?

We stayed in AB building 27, it was also nice and close to everything! A water view from #27 is priceless!!!

:confused3 We are there in September too. Can we call and request certain buildings now? I have arthritis pretty bad in both knees and would like to be close to main building areas. I just didn't know if it was too early to make those requests.

Just a note about Pixdust's question...
I have similar prob and staying in POR in August. I called and talked to front desk CM (on 6/25)and she stated that:

Call 5 days prior to arrival date and request a room close to the front of the hotel due to medical reasons. She said they will do their best to accomodate, but as always never a guarantee. Make sure you tell them you have medical restraints that require your need to be as close as possible to the front.

Hope this helps...
