we are going to be staying at POR and while I am not a big breakfast eater my husband loves it. by looking at the food court and Boatwrights breakfast menus the prices seem fairly similar ( food court not all that much cheaper) and would rather sit down than go to a food court. but am wondering about any pros or cons to either, like time factor, quality, whatever?( went to boatwrights years ago and was not terribly impressed but that could have been what I ordered plus a very very very cranky waiter)
Thanks

we prefer the food court.....my coffee is right there and so is the food....I have been impressed with the quality of the food court selections.......I do ask for toast instead of a biscuit.....prefer the toast....

If you don't want to take a long time for breakfast I would suggest the food court. We always liked the food there.

I vote Boatwrights. We prefer a good sit down breakfast. The food is cooked while you wait, instead on having it already done and under heat lamps. :(

We prefer breakfast at boatwrights, even when staying at other resorts. You are correct that the prices are not much different (except adding a tip). We always would rather eat breakfast at boatwrights while staying there, then at the food court. When time is short, then we do the food court, but we are early risers, so usually are at the restraurant when it opens. BTW, if you need that cup of coffee, just bring your mug, fill it in the food court, then head down to boatwrights to eat.

thanks and the coffee idea is a good one, we usually have coffee pre breakfast, with breakfast and depending on circumstances a cup to go so the mugs would be worth it for us I think.

Unless you don't mind spending a long time for breakfast, I would say go to the food court. Our breakfast at Boatwrights was good, but it took forever!

Always eat breakfast at least once at Boatwrights-one of our favorite breakfast spots.

Boatwrights has great Eggs Benedict. So if you or your husband is a fan of those, go to Boatwrights.

another vote for boatwright's. we have never waited long for our meal, but we usually go right when they open.

I agree with the others. Go to Boatwrights but get there when it opens if you can. I've seen some long lines there.

Thanks for all the opinions, yum, they are making me hungry! another question comes to mind .. how do I find out what time any o f these places open.. a few have the hrs. listed on the menus but not most. also (maybe I should ask this somewhere else ) but should you/can you make a ps for these basic resort meals or is it just for character breakfasts and park or special meals. my husband mentioned ( after I went over our "itinerary' (sp?) with him for the umpteenth time ) last time we went we only had ps for epcot and character ,in fact even there we just walked into most with out a ps and didn't have a long wait ever except for chef de france with a ps (go figure) . that was before the ps changed so is it more important now all year or is not as critical in Jan ( when we are going and went around the same time last time). I guess I want to know do I have to make them or regret it ...or.... is it just more convenient? Thanks

jann, you can make PS for any sit-down restaurant. and this is how we feel about PS's. i would much rather have them and not need them than need them and not be able to get them. you can always cancel.

thanks..kind of what I was thinking but not sure if I was going overboard!
