POR - Alligator Bayou or Mansions - Rennovated?

We are staying at POR next month - our first stay at this resort. I have two questions:

1. What parts of POR have been rennovated already?
2. Where should we stay (water view) - Alligator Bayou or the Mansions? After looking at various pics and info around the web I still don't have a clear preference. I'm very interested in other's opinions! Thanks!!

We really like alligator bayou, building 14. This is a standard view room with great proximity to pool, food court, and transportation. We also really like the casual ambience of the bayou rooms.

Both sides have been refurbished - with AB just completing the last 2 buildings 14 & 15.The photos of the new rooms look really nice!

I don't know how to post a photo, but someone who had just stayed there posted one of a new AB room on another POR thread. I'll try to find it and spost the link!

Thanks for the info - good to hear that no matter which section we are in our room will be newly refurbished!

AB seems to have some fans - any mansion fans out there?
