I called and made my reservations through SOG and they told me that 3 adults and 2 kids ages 9 and 11 could NOT stay at POR and they put us up at BW LBV. I just called the disney reservation desk and inquired about there new codes, thinking I could get a disney hotel for about the same price that Im getting at BW LBV. She quoted me a price for POR and when I mentioned that I was told that 5 people couldnt stay there, she told me we most certainly could that my 9 yr old is not to old to sleep on the trundle bed. That frustrated me because I could have stayed at POR but SOG said I couldnt. I suppose I could call there and tell them what the disney reservation lady told me but Im so frustrated I think I might just stay with BW LBV. Im afraid if I change hotels that things will get so messed up that when I get to WDW I will find out I dont have a hotel at all.

Keep in mind that when you call SOG these are people who work for the government, not Disney. The person you spoke with may not know what he/she is talking about. When you are uncomfortable with the person you are speaking with, you are always better off to hang up, call back and speak with someone different.

Call SOG and change your ressie to POR. You will receive a conformation letter. Take that to WDW with you.

It's also possible that the Alligator Bayou section (which is the only one that can hold five) SoG overflow allocation is sold out for those dates.

I am almost positive that they won't allow 3 adults and 2 children at POR. There would be no problem with 2 adults and 3 children though. :(

My DD was 17 when we went to POR. We consider her an adult...geez...she almost takes the whole bed!

So, it was my DH and I, our 17 yo and our two boys 8 and 5.

I don't see why they would not allow you to have three adults, two kids.

I don't think this is the case at all. The only restriction I'm aware of is you can't put five adults in a room, even in Alligator Bayou with a trundle bed.

I have had 3 adults and 1 child at POR. I would bet they allow 3 adults and 2 children. They will charge $15 per day extra for the "extra" adult, however.

You absolutely can have 3 adults & 2 children in a trundle bed room at POR. If you go into disneyworld.com it will let you, so that just proves that you can.

Oh. That must be what I was thinking about. :D Anyhoo... you should try SOG again then. I'd definitely stay onsite if possible.

I am going to call SOG on wednesday (my next day off) and tell them what the disney reservationist told me. I really hope we can get into POR. I really had my heart set on staying on disney. My kids are 9 and 11 and weight about 60 and 70 lbs. each. Whats funny is my 11 yr. old weighs about 60 lbs and my 9 yr old weighs 70. My 9 yr old already called dibs on the trundle bed if we can get into POR. Hopefully I can still get it for the price they originally quoted me.

Just so you aren't confused on just what the tundle bed is. It's really just a trundle bed in name only..in that it pulls out from under one of the beds. It's very close to the floor, and small. Our just 9 year granddaughter, very petite, did ok on it, although it seemed to keep moving toward the door, and we kept hitting the bed as we went in and out.
We had three adults and 2 kids..the kids took turns on the trundle bed (he's 7). Grand has a trundle bed at home, that pulls up and is the same size as her bed. We were expecting that, but really, she just ended up sleeping almost on the floor, on a very short bed. They told us they are generally only good for up to 8-10 year olds, if the 10 year old is small. I agree.
