I'm trying to book a 2 night stay Dec 30th-Jan 1st and it shows unavailable but when I add the Jan 2nd it brings up a preferred room for all 3 nights. Is there a 3night minimum over the holiday? We were planning staying off site after our POR stay and really were hoping to stay the Dec 29-1st at POR but the 29th isn't available.

Are you trying to book a package? There's one out now that is a 3-night/2-day stay package. Or, are you trying to book a free dining offer? I believe that requires a minimum 3-night stay. It can also just be something with your dates and room availability. Though it doesn't make sense, sometimes you're able to book a longer stay and not a shorter one. Logic dictates that if 3 nights is an available option, then 2 nights should be available too, but there are times that it doesn't work out as such. A lot of people have headaches over the same issue.

No just a room only. I had never ran into this but guess that the holiday is the reason. Not sure if I would book the 3 night if I then could go back and cancel the extra night. Our other option would be to stay in the Cars suites for the 2 nights which is more money but double the room for our family of 5. We've stayed at POR and loved it there. Have never been to AoA.

Check the threads where guests have had difficulty modifying a reservation. Hotel revenue managers seem to be doing their job. I'll speculate few guests will be looking to check in on Jan 1, hence Disney is looking for a 3 night stay.

Don't assume you'll be able to drop a night and keep 2 nights.

Keep checking. Something may open up or it might sell out.

I'm having the same issue with the week before Christmas as the Poly. I need 4 nights, and shows Studio unavailable. When I add a 5th night, it is available. So if it available for 5 nights, it should be for one less night (same dates). But it isn't. I assume they have a minimum stay (this is room-only too), but they don't advertise the minimum. I would call tomorrow and try to see about it, but I already have a regular room at the Poly booked, so I am going to stay with that and save the headache of calling!
