Hi everyone,
I learned so much from everyone's reports that I decided to put together a very short report of our trip- just home today!
We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside... Great resort, very clean and VERY spacious... We asked for Magnolia Terrace and we were granted our request. It was still a hike to the pool and the food court. We were close to the east depot so that made up for it!
The room was very clean and we had towel animals just about everyday. I did decorate the window but I didn't see any other room windows decorated...
The food court was ok.. Not the best in my opinion so we only ate there a couple of times. Bob in the lounge was fantastic! He is a must see!
The pool was very nice but the water slide is closed for three weeks!
The Magical Express was great, easy, relaxing..
Southwest Air- I ended up paying for EBCI... We were in group A both ways...
Highlight- we were chosen to open Chef Mickey's on our first night! I shed a few tears on that one! Great experience!
Faves- in no particular order!
Soarin
Mickey's PhilarMagic
Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom- it was PACKED though!
Thunder Mountain
Splash Mountain
Princess breakfast in Norway
Animal Kingdom safari
Toy Story mania
Not so faves-
Hollywood and Vine Character breakfast- poor service, poor character interaction- we were there at the end of breakfast and it seemed like we were a bother. There was a former cast member at a nearby table and the staff and characters liked standing around talking to her then doing their job...
We at the parks at rope drop and back to the hotel in the afternoon for the pool and rest. The only rides that had a wait time of more than 20 minutes was Toy Story.. The rest were either walk on or 10-15 minutes!
The weather at home is a cool 45 degrees and raining.... Orlando was sunny and in the low 90's... Stinks to be back!
Thanks
Jen
