Likely staying at
2 Moderate Resorts: POR and the POFQ.
2 Value Resorts: All Star Sports and All Star Music

2- It doesn't affect the parks very much.
There will be an early closure listed for DHS sometime that week (7pm Wed., Dec. 8)
after that time that night DHS will be open only for the Pop Warner kids' party.

I was wondering about this too because we will be there Dec. 3-20. I've been reading mixed reviews on how Pop will affect the crowd levels. I'd be interested in any ones opinions on this.

Oh and, what is Pop Warner?

Pop Warner is a football tournament for kids and teens, they also have cheerleading in Feb.

I have never been at POP while they were there but I have been at the Allstars. Stay away from the Allstars for sure, unless you want your youngins learning about the birds and the bees at the pool or being taught a lovely vocabulary lesson.

POP Warner is a football and cheerleading organization throughout the country. The week od Dec. 4-11th is the National Championships. Football starts Saturday chher and dance monday. The Hotels used are POR and POP and All-Star, Wed night at DHS is closed except for Pop Warner.

The POP Warner crowds fluctuate during the week as many people do not stay the entire time-but come for their event and stay 3 or 4 days.

AYFC is another orginazation that has their championships at the same time. Nieither is actually associated with schools. Just towns. February is high school winter cheer. Pop Warner stays at Disney. AYFC does not but they are in orlando. AYFC is not in Orlando this year. Instead they will be in Daytona so this may affect things differently.

I've gone many times that week, staying at BWV. It's never been an issue. You will see small groups around the parks but they spend most of their time at WWoS and their resort.

Ugh, we're stuck staying at All-Star Music from Dec 2nd - 7th. Should be interesting.

We have been during this time and the crowds at the parks are not bad and the kids seemed pretty well behaved. A bit of loud cheering once in a while but nothing too much. The line however from the parks to the value resorts were horrible! WE were at WL and had no issues but I would have hated to have been at the values. People were reporting waits of an hour or more.

We wouldn't have noticed them in the parks at all last year if they wouldn't have been wearing matching shirts that said Pop Warner on them. We never saw any groups running wild or misbehaving in the parks, and it didn't seem to affect crowd levels at all. I've heard the resort situation can be unpleasant, but I haven't personally experienced it.

During the day, They are not all that noticeable at the beginning of the week since they are in competition.Once teams start being eliminated you WILL see more of them as the week progresses.They are also around at the parks in the late afternoons and evenings.

Cannot wait for Pop Warner National Championships!! My son is planing in a game this year!! They do bring in alot of people to WDW but keep in mind that kids are still in school so the parks are pretty quite until school gets out.
