From the posts on this board, it looks like 4 out of 5 are about the Viva Italia trip. I'm hoping that's because it is so incredibly fantastic that everyone wants to go on it, but it does seem a little strange since there are so many good trips out there.

I'm also curious about what trip people do next, after Viva Italia. Hopefully there are other super-trips available from Disney, and doing this one first won't spoil us for more. Of course, DH would kill me for even thinking about what to do next when we are still 7 months away from this one, but that's part of the fun, right???

I recommend the London/Paris trip. I did that last year and am doing the Backstage magic this year. I would have loved to do the Australia tour, but couldn't swing it. Oh well maybe in a few years?

I'd definitely enjoy the London/Paris trip. I've been both places, though, so it would be more for my kids than for me (and at these prices, I decided to make our first trip somewhere none of us have been).

Australia does sound neat!

DH and I did Italy on our own for 16 days last year. I think the Viva Italia tour is so popular because a) the cities selected are an amazing tour and b) it's a great bang for your buck. Because we had so much fun in Italy, my BF wanted to go in 08 with her husband. I did a bunch of research for her (they did not want to go on their own--fear of random restaurants I think) and I honestly think that the ABD tour is amazing. Also the price of this tour compared to what DH and I spent OOP for these same things, the ABD looks like a great deal. I ran all of the numbers and you could not do all of these things on your own, stay at the nice hotels, for the amount Disney is charging. DH and I went to a lot more cities and places but the ABD tour hits the best of the best. I loved our vacation but if I had to do it all over today, I'd go with the ABD.

The Italy itinerary is so great that it convinced me to go to London/Paris via ABD rather than on our own. But we are going to DLP on our own afterwards!!! And I can't wait for my BF to go on her trip so that we can compare our Italian adventures.

Pakey, thanks for your comment - it makes me feel even better about our upcoming Viva Italia trip. The price did/does concern me, just because it is a lot of money compared to trips we usually take, but since I have never taken my kids to Europe before and wanted something where I didn't have to worry, I thought we'd give it a try. It's great to know that someone with experience traveling on their own endorses the Disney experience too. Thanks.
