Is there still a toaster with this fridge?

The original toaster was a casualty of the missing refrigerator. However, Lindababe said she might get one and leave it with the replacement fridge. I'll find out for sure when she returns.

The one I bought was just one of those inexpensive (about $7) ones from Walmart but it worked fine on toast, bagels, and pop tarts.

I'll post here as soon as I know for sure.

HI All,

We Just HAD to return to the REAL world..... we had a fantastic trip !!!

12-22 to 12-30 in room #2457 (back side of building B 4th floor) we could see the space ship earth at EPCOT and the top of the Tower of terror at MGM and watch Illuminations every night right from outside our room.

We got dream fast passes at MGM!!!

We got a special back stage look at EPCOT and got to drive under the track of Test Track.

So glad we had the fridge to keep our DD7 soy milk in. Thanks DISNEYDAZ

We loved it so much we bought into the Disney Vacation Club at Saratoga Springs (signed the papers on Chrismas day!!) so we won't be going back to POP, even though we loved it there...

Alan, sounds like you had a great time. Glad the ref. came in handy. How great that you got MGM dream passes. We've been to Disneyland a few times since the start of "Million Dreams" but haven't gotten anything yet. Maybe next time or when we go back to WDW in Sept.

Congrats on your new DVC purchase. Now you get to learn about a whole new way to experience WDW.

I'm going write down your room number, etc. I like the idea of seeing Illuminations from your room.

I'm not sure if the rules are posted on this thread or not, so here goes-I bought the fridge back in Sept. and the first joiners to the swap each paid a portion to use the fridge. Each swapper is responsible for arranging each end of the swap with the swapper before ,and after, them. At one point there was a toaster included-that has been lost. However, the swapper currently there said she might add it back in so I'll know that for sure soon.

Now that the fridge has been paid for, any swapper who joins in now doesn't need to pay to join. However, by joining in, each swapper agrees to pick up, and hand off the fridge as agreed to so that the swap can continue. At this point if the fridge goes permanently m.i.a. then I won't feel guilty about anyone being out any $ since you won't have paid any.

If there is a gap between swappers (of, at most 2 weeks) the fridge goes into POP luggage storage. This can be done either at Luggage Services, or, according to Tishke you can leave it at the Front Desk. All information for the next swapper (name, check-in date, and ressie #) must be posted on the outside of the box. The fridge can be picked up at Luggage Services or you can call and have it delivered to your room (for a tip $). It's also a good idea to have a contact phone number for the swapper before, and after you.

Additionally, originally there were some cleaning items included with the fridge, along with paper, marker, and tape. These items may need to be replaced so you should plan on bringing your own, just in case.

This swap can continue indefinitely as long as the fridge stays in working condition and we keep any gaps to less than 2 weeks. The maximum time POP will allow it in storage is 2 weeks. Though it is my understanding that if the fridge gets left in a room, they have to keep it for 90 days. We can continue the swap as long as everyone does their part and we keep the gaps to less than 2 weeks. (as long as it keeps working). I'm hoping to be able to use it again on my trip in Sept. 07, but that would be truly amazing !

So far, other than the one problem when the refrigerator was mia for a day+, things have been going incredibly well. We've had 20 swappers use it to date, and more to come. If the refrigerator doesn't make it thru to Sept. , I'll be happy to start, or participate in a new one then. Thanks everybody! too to all of my swapper friends!

ADDED-Sorry, there wasn't a toaster added to the fridge in January. Also, Kelian had just a minor problem picking it up, if that happens to you make sure to tell them the box is covered in lime green mickey heads. Thanks
