POP's Last Minute Fridge Swap-*CLOSED*

Heard from Englishrose47, she is at WDW. Hopefully she was able to get a hold of VickieMouse.

Looking fridges up online was a waste of time. They are all so different and there are so many makes and models. I haven't used the fridge before so I can't even guess.

We are down to about 4 people that can measure the fridge before the swapper who offered to bring a box arrives.

We now have an opening next month - a swapper has dropped out.

Swappers should be checking in to see who is before and after them. I will update the thread if a new member is found.

I've heard from VickieMouse. She said that LS couldn't find the fridge so it took a few days for her to get it. She handed off the fridge to Englishrose47 on the 19th.

If at all possible, try to do an in person exchange.

Yes I got the fridge from Vickie, Bell service brought it over on the 19th with no problems . Heidi and I talked a few times and had arranged for our swap , when a bell hop arrived at our room with a POP fridge he said was to be delivered there ???? I quickly called Heidi and she hadn't called so I took advantage of the situation and had the CM deliver it to Heidi , I forgot to bring a measuring tape so couldn't help with the measurements . My daughter said the fridge tends to freeze things , just thought I'd let everyone know this !! Thanks again for the FRIDGE it was great .

Unless Vandort remembered to measure the fridge Kbheap it's up to you! If you forget or don't measure the fridge we don't get a box as Vavy won't know what size to bring.

kbheap has returned from their trip. The fridge is left in LS for Vavy. She said the plastic sleave is falling apart and needs replacing.

I will be getting the fridge soon and can bring a new sleave. If the few swappers before me can replace it that would be great. Otherwise you will probably need some tape so that the paper with the next swappers info doesn't get lost.

BTW, what building do you request? We've stayed in the Tramp 50's building (bldg. C on the map) a few times and the Jukebox (#B) once or twice. We are thinking of mixing it up a little and staying in another location.. I like the lake view and close parking so I'm thinking maybe the 70's or 80's Bldg. A. But then as I look at the map the 80's is pretty far to the food court. The 70's building facing the lake is a good location and close to the food court and the hippy dippy pool which DD likes, but it is farther to the parking lots.

I stay far far away from the 50's! I can't believe one year I actually requested the Lady building-thankfully we didn't get it.

I've stayed in the 80's and 70's. I never have a car so parking isn't important to me.

I believe I requested the 70's. Last year I asked for anything but 50's and I think they saw 50's and put me there. I have a room only just before the Free Dining so if they give me a location that isn't great, hopefully I can get a different one for the Free Dining part. I need to avoid the smoking areas.

So is the smoking areas the reason you don't like 50's? We always ask for the 4th floor and have gotten the 3rd floor most of the time and the 4th like twice. Can't smell the smoke up that high. My DSis has been with us twice and she does smoke (YUCK!) so I try to accommodate her nasty habit when she goes.

The 50's is so much closer to the parking but the lot is pretty small and does fill up and night (at the closest areas).

Hope you get your request. We've done what you are doing before and we were able to stay in the same room, without switching. Hope you can as well.

Sorry to the person before me... I thought when I turned in all my info month ago I was good to go. I do not come on here often (I think its been 3 months)? Just a reminder that everyone needs to be in contact with the person before and after you on the fridge swap.


This way we don't have problems with people signed up with 2 fridge swaps, we can try and do in person swaps whenever possible, and if peoples plans change and they forgot to let us know they no longer need the fridge we can try and fill that spot.


We have had people accidentaly sign up for more than one fridge before and because of people contacting the swapper we did figure it out that they were signed up for two different swaps.

Sorry, I don't have time to compare everyone on my list with all the other swaps at Pop. I do give people the e-mail and confirmation# of swappers who haven't responded to PM's so that the fridge doesn't get lost at LS.
