poppins at princess breakfast?

okay, this is my first official post... I could no longer resist! I admit I'm clueless, but here goes with my first question: We're visiting for the FIRST TIME (woohoo!) with our 4 year old daughter in May. She desperately wants to see Mary Poppins but could care less about the Alice and MadHatter (1900 PF)... I would hate to have her miss all the princess opps at the breakfast in Norway just for Mary Poppins. (we're doing dining plan and it might have to be one or the other) I've heard Mary also appears at the Akershus bkfst? Is this true.... or are there any other good Mary Poppins siting tips to help make up my mind? Thanks!

As far as I know the princess meals at Akershus is basically hit or miss. Some characters might be there one day and gone the next. I went for dinner in December and Mary Poppins was there. I would say the only sure fire way to know you are getting Mary is to go to The 1900 PF breakfast.

Welcome- be careful these boards can really suck you in! They are very addictive. From the posts on here I've seen, I think she is at breakfast in Akershus pretty often. It is not guaranteed, so I would not promise your DD that she will be though. In December, we were at Akershus for the first lunch seating, so we saw the last of the breakfast crowd clearing out. Mary Poppins was not there for lunch, but as we were going in, she was just leaving from being there for breakfast so we saw her outside. She was really sweet. She does appearances in the United Kingdom and I think that is where she was headed as we saw her over there later. We also saw her on Main Street in MK more than once during the week. My husband actually made the comment that Mary Poppins was everywhere because we kept running into her. Hopefully you will have the same luck since your DD is a big fan! Also, if you are going in May and don't have your ADRs yet, call now. The Princess meals can fill up really fast and it may be hard to get in. Have a wonderful trip!

Well, you could do the Norway meal and then try to meet Mary Poppins at UK in Epcot......I think she appears pretty regularly there. You can ask at guest relations and they will tell you where and when any character will be appearing that day. I have done this several times with Dopey....

I just looked at a couple of other Akershus threads and it looks like in the last month or two, the people reporting did not see her at breakfast. The reports seemed to be mostly Snow White, Mulan, Jasmine, Aurora, and Belle. Just thought I should note that since the ones I have seen in the past, she has been there a lot and that is what I told you.

She was at the Princess Norway breakfast in January but that could be very sporatic...if you want to make sure and see her go to 1900 PF

During our first visit to WDW two years ago, the only place we saw Mary Poppins was on the carousel in MK. Of course we weren't really looking for her, so there may have been other places, but I distinctly remember the carousel because she was so incredibly realistic!

She does appear at breakfast in Norway sometimes - the problem is, you can't bank on it. You may or may not have her for your meal in Norway.

It's a great meal for meeting princesses, though!

Mary Poppins should be in the UK for a meet-n-greet at some point during the afternoon - so if she's not at Akerhus, you can find her there. Ask a CM when to expect her.

My DD5 loves MP and we were there from 3/11 - 3/19. We saw her in Town square on Main Street out in front of Tony's in MK and she was also appearing intermittently throughout the day in the UK Pavillion in Epcot. We did see her at CRT last August, but you can't count on her being at either Princess meal.

If you want to try to avoid going to the 1900 PF breakfast, you could always book it for a day closer to the end of your trip. Then, if you are able to meet her in the parks before then, you could cancel the breakfast. But if you don't find her in the parks, then you'd be sure to see her anyway by keeping the breakfast ressie.

If your DD is like mine, I know what a major issue it can become if she can't meet that one special character she wants to meet!

We had ADR for the Princess Breakfast on February 10. Mary Poppins was out in front of the castle. She was not inside. We had Belle, Aurora, Snow White, Jasmine, and Mulan.
